Safe and Secure

Well, look at me, all modern and on-trend. I’ve finally upgraded my websites to https. Including this blog, so if you’re reading this through RSS I guess things are still working on that front, too.

It’s one of those jobs I put off and put off, until one day I just spontaneously found the energy to get started and ploughed through the whole process quite quickly. In fact, it was upgrading, fixing and modernising my chef setup that took the time. Once I was there, the actual Let’s Encrypt stuff was pretty simple.

Anyway. Part of changing things on a blogging site is a celebratory post, and it’s been a long, long time since I said anything here, so perhaps this will help me get back into the swing of things. At the very least, I get to play with WordPress’s new shiny Gutenberg interface…

Do let me know if you spot anything broken in passing. If you can’t comment or get through on the contact form, you can always drop me a line at
