Revealing the Library Folder in OS X Mavericks

My post on Revealing Lion’s Hidden Library Folder is by far the most popular post on this blog. It seems that plenty of people thought that hiding the Library folder in the Lion release of OS X was a step too far, and plenty of them wanted to un-hide it.

It seems that Apple might have realised this, as The Sweet Setup has a tip today on a new way of revealing the Library in Mavericks. Head on over to them for screenshots and full instructions, but basically:

  1. In the Finder, navigate to your Home folder (Shift-Cmd‑H, or the menu option Go → Home)
  2. Show the View Options pane (View → Show View Options, or Cmd‑J)
  3. You should see a shiny new option called “Show Library Folder”. Tick the check box, and you’re done.
